We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third-party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.

  • What is the service fee?

Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. A service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.

  • Does Blountville Utility District keep any part of the service fee?

Blountville Utility District does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Blountville Utility District.

IMPORTANT: If your payment is delinquent for two months and has not been received by 5:30 p.m. on the 25th of the second month, the Utility will automatically add a $50 past-due fee to your account. If payment is not received by this date and time, services will be subject to disconnection for non-payment on the 26th.

Please note that if the 25th falls on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, a customer will have until the following business day to pay their bill before the past-due fee is automatically added to their account.

If you are disconnected for non-payment: Your previous balance, PLUS your past due fee will need to be paid in FULL before service is reconnected. *PLEASE NOTE* any payment made for disconnect for non-payment after 5:30 PM  Monday – Thursday will be reconnected the next business day. The Utility does NOT reconnect service after hours or nonoperational hours. If this applies to you, please contact the utility before you make your payment.
